Turnberry Ailsa Course

Situated on the Ayrshire coast, Turnberry Ailsa is one of Scotland’s premier golfing destinations. With scenic ocean views, rolling hills and challenging links, Turnberry has it all. In 1902, golf course designer Willie Fernie was commissioned by the Marquess of Ailsa to invent a championship course and since then, Turnberry has hosted the Open Championship 4 times. Most recently in 2009, we saw Tom Watson so close to making history as the oldest person to win an Open Championship before losing to Stewart Cink. Despite proving to be a tough course, the links are fair and the backdrop to a game of golf could not be more breathtaking.
