Royal Troon

Royal Troon was founded in 1878 with only 5 holes but has since gone on to gain 13 more and host the Open 8 times. In 2004’s Championship, we saw Todd Hamilton defeat Ernie Els in a dramatic 4 hole play off and we are delighted for the excitement to revisit this course again in 2016. Royal Troon exhibits both the longest and shortest most remarkable holes in Open Championship golf. The last hole is a par 3, measuring just 123 yards; it’s regarded as one of the top holes in the world. On the other hand, the 6th hole, reaches 601 yards and challenges you to achieve a par 5; Scottish golf at its finest!
