Muirfield


Muirfield is a well renowned, privately owned links with a plentiful historical background. It’s one of the oldest clubs in golf, with the game being played for the first time in 1891. It is also ‘Home of the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers’. Muirfield was home to the 2013 Open Championship, possibly one of the best final rounds of an Open ever seen. Phil Mickelson closed with a stunning round of 66 to claim his first Claret Jug. The Open was first played here in 1892 and has since graced this course 16 times in counting producing champions such as Gary Player, Lee Trevino and Tom Watson. This is a course oozing with history and a thrilling ambience- a course that even the most novice golfer will enjoy.
