Huawei Spain strongly believes in the importance of Science and Innovation for developing the products and services of the future, and undertakes a firm commitment to education in the scope of new technologies, aimed at promoting the talent and employability of the Spanish youth by creating real job opportunities in this area.
Huawei and the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Society signed in 2015, in the Shenzhen (China) a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that endorses this commitment to education and training on new technologies. In this sense, Huawei has confirmed its intention to continue promoting initiatives and programs oriented to transmit its expertise in the CIT sector in both Spanish universities and their work centers in China, as well as to stimulate the labor market by creating job opportunities.
EL FUTURO DE LAS TIC
UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME #FuturoTIC2018
“El Futuro de las TIC” is an undergraduate programme promoted by Huawei, which is part of the Company´s global project “Seeds for the future”. Through this programme, Huawei will grant 10 student scholarships for a two-week internship in China. This programme will include academic insights about innovation and new technologies at Huawei headquarters. This experience not only adds value to the students’ CVs and contributes to their professional future after they finish university, but is also offers an insight on how a leading multinational company in the CIT sector works.
Huawei Spain in colaboration with Instituto Nacional de Ciberseguridad (INCIBE) launches the competition “Capture The Flag” a Cybersecurity Talent Challenge. With this first edition, Huawei Spain reinforces its commitment in promoting the awareness related in secure coding and also boosts the use of ICT.

JOIN THE GENERATION OF THE FUTURE #HuaweiSmartbus
Supported by the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Society, through Red.es, Huawei has implemented Smartbus, a social and educational project aimed at school children that links education to new technologies in order to promote a safe and responsible use among children between 10 and 13 years old.
SmartBus is an innovative mobile classroom provided with the latest audiovisual and interactive technologies. Inside, awareness actions take place supported by audiovisual and interactive resources and touch screens, which are part of highly participative and role playing pedagogical techniques.
Up to 85 schools and more than 12,000 Spanish pupils already discovered the importance of making a good use of the new technologies thanks to SmartBus.
CLOUD COMPUTING + BIG DATA
Huawei Technologies Spain and UNED (National University of Distance Education) reached a collaboration agreement for establishing the first course on Cloud Computing + Big Data in February 2016
This was an official university course that benefitted from the expertise provided by UNED and HUAWEI resources in order to promote the development and research of the latest technologies among engineering students.
The contents were defined and authorized by Huawei Information & Network Program (HAINA) and were certified by HCNA-Storage and HCNA-Cloud.
The course took place “onsite” in Madrid in a first phase and “online” for the rest of the course through UNED’s platforms aimed at assisting, connecting and tracking students.
